The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 has been spotted on the FCC certification platform, thus revealing its design and key features.
The upcoming TWS earphones from Samsung are the successor of the Samsung Galaxy Buds, launched back in August 2019.
There were numerous reports suggesting that Samsung was working on a TWS earphone with a model number SM-R177. Today, the FCC certification was spotted for “Samsung Electronics Co Ltd Bluetooth Headset SMR177L“, the same model number-Galaxy Buds 2.
We now have live images of the Galaxy Buds 2 through the certification as well as a detailed look at the case’s specs.
As seen from the above pictures, the Galaxy Buds 2 is pretty much the same when compared to the Galaxy Buds with an in-ear design. The Galaxy Buds 2 seems to have two microphones, an inner and an outer one alongside an IR sensor for wear detection. Also, the Galaxy Buds 2 will feature an Active Noise Cancellation as confirmed by the popular tipster Ice universe.
Coming to the case, the model number of the charging case of the Galaxy Buds 2 is EP-QR177. Furthermore, the charging case will have a 2.5W charging speed and the earbuds have a 0.6W charging input.
According to Sammobile, the Galaxy Buds 2 will come with at least four color options: black, white, purple, and green. And coming to pricing, the TWS earphones will be priced around $170(Rs 12,313) instead of $200(Rs 14,485), with Samsung reserving the higher price for the Pro series.
There’s a high possibility that Samsung could launch the Galaxy Buds 2 in August 2021 given the fact that Galaxy Buds were launched in August 2019 and also Galaxy Buds Live were launched in August 2020.
