Battlefield 2042 has been announced officially by EA and DICE. The imminent Battlefield game will be released on October 22 on a number of platforms, although Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play subscribers will receive additional rewards. So, anyone who wants to get the most out of Battlefield 2042 should absolutely sign up for one of the services.
Battlefield 2042, like many other EA-published titles, will feature 10-hour free trial access to all EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users starting October 15, allowing them to exclusively play the game a full week before the launch. Subscribers will also get early access to the Battlefield 2042 open beta, but additional information on what that implies is yet to be announced.
Apart from early access to the game and later an open beta, Battlefield 2042 fans will be lavished by in-game goodies offered by EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Every month, subscribers will receive exclusive goodies, albeit what those perks will be, remains a mystery. Subscribers will also receive a 10% discount when purchasing the entire Battlefield 2042 title.
The Battlefield 2042 introduction teaser ended with the promise that the gameplay would be revealed on June 13th. Although no particular timeline was specified. However, June 13th falls on the same day as the Xbox E3 2021 press keynote. Since EA’s E3-equivalent event isn’t until July 22, it’s fair to assume that the Battlefield 2042 gameplay debut could take place at the Xbox E3 2021 event. However, this is just speculation, so we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt.
