- FAU-G crosses over 4 million pre-registrations on Google Play Store.
- FAU-G is all set to launch on 26 January 2021.
- Even though the game will be played in story mode, developers hint at possible battle royale mode in the future.
Made by Indian game development studio nCore, FAU-G is all set to launch on 26 January 2021, which also happens to be the Republic Day of India. FAU-G is a third-person shooting game that will focus on real-life military operations and battles of the Indian army. The Founder and Chairman of the nCore games, Mr.Vishal Gondal has said that the game has already crossed ‘over four million’ pre-registrations as of January 14, 2021.
“We’ve crossed over four million pre-registrations,” says Gondal. “And this is with not allowing some of the low-end devices to register.”
The game witnessed a whopping one million pre-registrations in its first 24 hours of being listed on the Google Play Store, which also happens to be the highest pre-registrations made in India and that was on December 2, 2020. Gondal also believes that pre-registrations could increase further.
He said, “I will say that we will cross five million at least. Could be higher. But at five million I don’t think so any other game, at least in India has got that kind of pre-registrations.”
FAU-G launch date and availability
FAU-G will be coming to iPads, iPhones, and Android devices as well on 26 January 2021, celebrating Indian Republic Day. You can pre-register on the Android version on Google Play. For the iOS version, the pre-registration has not been started yet but will be available with the game’s release.
FAU-G will be a third-person, story-driven brawler and it will not be featuring any guns at launch. The first level of the game will be the Galwan Valley, where guns weren’t really used in combat battles. Instead, the players will use their fists, as well as melee weapons to fight the enemies. Studio nCore cites games like the Batman: Arkham franchise, as well as The Last of Us for its melee gameplay. The focus here is to keep the gameplay realistic for the users so that they can experience what it’s really like being there. Thus, the game will not be featuring a battle royale mode, instead, it will be more like a realistic story experience. However, FAU-G’s developer has also stated that they will also be working on a battle royale mode for the game in the near future.
However, one of the trailers of FAU-G has shown characters using picking up, loading, and using guns to kill their enemies. It’s likely that we’ll see guns make it into the game at some point, if not already at launch.
