Last year when ASUS launched the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15, it left us in awe with its dual-screen display. This year ASUS has come up with the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE. Zephyrus Duo 15 SE features the ROG ScreenPad Plus to give gamers the advantage of a secondary screen for more usable onscreen space for gaming and productive tasks. The secondary display can also showcase content creation tools on Adobe software.

The ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE is powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. The laptop will be available in two variants with a 4K 120Hz display or a 1080p display with a 300Hz refresh rate with 3ms response time and 100 percent sRGB color space coverage.

It comes with an upgraded Active Aerodynamic System Plus (AAS+) cooling system which allows more power to be fed to the CPU and GPU without increasing noise levels.

ASUS Strix SCAR 17

Last year when ASUS introduced the ROG Strix Scar 17 powered by the Core i9-10980HK and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Mobile, it left us largely impressed with its features and performance even though it did have higher noise levels. But this year, ASUS has chosen to go the AMD route and has upgraded the GPU to Ampere Mobile.

The ASUS Strix SCAR 17 comes with a massive 17-inch display screen to provide the best possible gaming experience. This beast can be configured with up to AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 mobile GPU. Coming to the display, the laptop will be available with a 1080p panel offering a 360Hz refresh rate or a 1440p panel with a 165Hz of refresh rate.

The ASUS Strix SCAR 17 comes with a 90 WHr battery and the company claims that the battery can last up to 12.2 hours web browsing in the Scar models, and the laptop also supports 100W USB-PD charging standard via the USB Type-C port.

It would be interersting to see how other competitors will take on ASUS as they have raised the bar even high this year with these new beasts.
