- Both laptops feature a 13.2-inch screen, 2TB of storage paired with up to 32GB of RAM, and 11th-generation Intel Tiger Lake CPUs

HP has refreshed its business-focused Elite Dragonfly range this year with an updated G2 model and a brand new Dragonfly Max option. Both devices will be powered by Intel’s modern-day 11th Gen processors, and 5G connectivity. The Max model features an improved built-in camera and also adds a black color variant option.
Both the laptops will be powered by the 11th Gen Intel processors, with the intel i3 processor only available on the G2, and i5 and i7 processor options available in both. Both the laptops will run on Intel Iris Xe graphics. Both the models will be configured with a USB 3.1 charging port, two USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports, a single HDMI 1.4b port, and Nano-SIM support. Both devices can also be configured up to 32GB of RAM and as much as 2TB of M.2 SSD storage. Also, both of them will be equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Difference between two laptops
You might wonder that both of them come with almost the same specifications. So, why HP introduced two different laptops. Well, where the models really differ is in their display configurations and webcams. The Dragonfly Max will only be available with a 13.3-inch HD (1920 x 1080) display, on the other hand with the Dragonfly G2, you can configure it with HD or 4K panels. However, both will have options for HP’s privacy-oriented screen, which includes technology to tint the screen so that people passing by can’t snoop on what you’re doing.
The Dragonfly G2 will weigh around 1kg, while the Dragonfly Max will weigh around 1.13 kg. Also, the Dragonfly Max will come with a 5MP webcam on the other hand the G2 gets a 1.2MP webcam. The Dragonfly Max also comes with four wide-array microphones for better video and audio calls and keeps the dedicated webcam privacy slider found on last year’s Dragonfly laptops. This year, HP has removed the manual slider on the G2 and replaced it with a button on the keyboard which activates the webcam shutter.
Both the models will also include 5G connectivity options with AT&T and T-Mobile networks supported in the US. You can also track your laptop with the built-in Tile Tracker introduced by HP in 2020 models. So, as long as the laptop has some battery life, you can track your device, which can be quite handy.
HP says, both the Dragonfly G2 and Max will be available in January, but the company has not announced the pricing yet. Given the fact that the base model of the 2020 version of Dragonfly G2 was priced at $1500(Rs.109886 approx), the 2021 models are expected to be more expensive.
