iQoo Neo 5 to Launch on 16 March

According to the latest post on iQoo’s social media handle, the gaming brand is all set to release its latest smartphone, iQoo Neo 5 on the 16th of March. The post included a teaser of the latest smartphone along with the launch date of 16 March. The predecessor to the latest smartphone, iQoo Neo 3 5G was launched in China in the past year. It is now after all this time that the latest version will finally be launched.

The smartphone was originally announced by iQoo on it’s official Weibo account. Trying to guess the specifications through the teaser, we were only able to define a hole-punch display design, since only the front panel of the smartphone is presented in the teaser. While no concrete details about the smartphone have surfaced yet, there are some rumors that have come up already and may continue to, uptil the launch.

Rumored Specifications of iQoo Neo 5

Talking about the specifications of the iQoo Neo 5, it hasn’t been made known to the audience officially. However, the rumors say something else. As per the rumored sources, the iQoo Neo 5 will come with a 120 Hz Super AMOLED display screen designed by Korean electronic giant, Samsung. Coming to the cameras, the smartphone boasts of a triple rear camera consisting of a 48 MP primary lens (Sony IMX598), 13 MP secondary lens (ultrawide), and a 2 MP tertiary lens (macro).

The smartphone is expected to be run on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC and 12 GB RAM. Talking about the battery, for charging the smartphone may feature 66W wireless charging and 88W fast wired charging.

Rumored Price of iQoo Neo 5

Coming to the pricing of the iQoo Neo 5, this hasn’t been made known to the audience officially as well. However a tipster had hinted at the pricfe of the latest smartphone earlier this month. The following prices were revealed by the tipster

  • 8GB RAM + 128GB variant – CNY 2,998 (roughly Rs 34,000)
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB variant – CNY 3,298 (roughly Rs 37,500)
  • 12GB RAM + 128GB variant – CNY 3,398 (roughly Rs. 38,600)
  • 12GB RAM + 256GB variant – CNY 3,698 (roughly Rs. 46,000)
