Xiaomi shared a teaser on Twitter which does not clearly state the name of the smartphone but reveals that it will come with a quad-camera setup and a 108-megapixel primary sensor will be launching on January 5. Going by previous leaks, the phone is expected to be the Mi 10i. An earlier report also suggested that the phone could launch in India as a rebranded Note 9 Pro 5G that was launched in China recently with a 108-megapixel primary camera. The 5G model launched in China is different from the Redmi Note 9 Pro model launched in India.
Mi 10i specifications (expected):
Previous reports suggested that the Mi 10i may be a rebranded model of the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G launched in China just last month. If this was to be true, then Mi 10i will feature a massive 6.67-inch full-HD (2,400×1,080 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate and will be equipped with Snapdragon 750G SoC paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. For security, the phone is expected to come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. it is reported that Mi 10i will be made available in at least two configurations, i.e. equipped with 6GB & 8GB of RAM with 128GB storage. In terms of color options, you can expect the phone in Blue, Black, and Gradient Orange/Blue hues. The quad-camera setup is projected to include an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 108-megapixel main sensor. Upfront, the Mi 10i is expected to be a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The phone could be backed by a massive 4,820mAh battery which will support fast charging up to 33W.
