Reliance Strategic Business Ventures Limited (RSBVL), a fully owned company of Reliance Industries, has acquired an additional equity stake in the US-based technology company skyTran Inc for $26.76 million (around Rs 196.94 crore). And now the Mukesh Ambani-drove company has expanded its shareholding to 54.46 percent on a completely diluted basis.
Reliance is intending to dive into creating a pod taxi prototype in India, a cutting-edge transportation framework. In November 2019, RSBVL had brought its stake up in skyTran to 17.37 percent and further to 26.3 percent in April 2020.
