As per a recent report from the CD PROJEKT, they have been victimized by a targeted cyber attack, due to which some of their internal systems have been compromised.
CD PROJEKT claims that an unidentified user has gained unauthorized access to their internal network, and stole the data belonging to the firm, and they are now asking for ransom through a note, CD PROJEKT has released to the public. Although some devices in their network are totally compromised, their backup remains intact. They have already secured their IT infrastructure and started the restoration of data. They also said that they will not bow down to anyone, also taken the possibility of the data being released. CD PROJEKT is still investigating the incident, they also confirmed that- the comprised didn’t contain any personal information about the players.
CD PROJEKT has already approached the concerning authorities, the president of the Personal data protection office, and also the law enforcement, they are trying their best to cooperate with the authorities to totally investigate it and catch the actor causing these sins.
