YouTube’s latest feature finally enables users to create short clips of the videos on the go. YouTube Gaming through Twitter announced the latest YouTube update, Clips!
YouTube’s long-awaited latest update, Clips, will allow users to capture short shareable content in form of clips from YouTube videos and streams. The feature is currently available for Desktop and Android devices and will soon be rolled out for iOS users.
How to Clip YouTube videos
Users need to sign-in to be able to Clip and share YouTube videos and streams.
Users can create clips of 5 to 60 second length segment of uploaded video content that can be shared across various platforms. Videos can be clipped by clicking on the clip icon right under the video next to likes/dislike buttons. Select the section of the video content you’d like to clip. You can increase (maximum of 60 seconds) or decrease (minimum of 5 seconds) the length of your selection by dragging the slider.

Where to find created Clips on YouTube
Once you have created clips, you can view them in ‘Clips’ present in the navigation menu under the Watch later tab.

While creating a clip of a live stream, the clip will appear in the ‘Clips’ section once the live stream has ended and uploaded as a video on YouTube. The clips will be unavailable if the original video is deleted or set to private only. Visit the YouTube Blog to know more.
